Only used, for now, to ensure sharp objects weren't in the area.
I’m a beginner metal detector. My first time out, and when I used the sand scoop, I found an Irish medallion. I was so excited. The sand scoop is extremely easy to use. If a person is going to metal detect on a beach or shoreline somewhere, I strongly suggest they buy a CKG sand scoop.

Very nice large scoop with a good handle. Has a sharp edge to take a good bite out of the beach sand. Sifts even wet sand fairly easily with an easy shake. Great for beach, surf, and underwater. Recommended.
the go to. sand scoop. have the ckg universal sand scoop ,with ckg carbon fiber handle ,but this is what i use 97% of the time. great product. worth the $$$. have a great day.

I put it to the test,rocky river beach it worked great not a ding or bend from prying rocks it's defiantly worth it
The screen holes are fairly large, so smaller items like tiny shells or small rocks/minerals may slip through. It's definitely more effective for sifting out larger items.
